The 64 year-old showbiz star opened up about her divorce from the late lawyer, who she had her four oldest children, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob with.
The pair divorced in 1991, leaving Kris scared for their future.
"I didn't know what to do. I had four kids, I was single. I didn't know where I was going to live," she told the 'In Charge With DVF' podcast.
"I didn't know how I was going to make a living. It was the scariest time to be that young."
Kris said she eventually turned to her faith to find the strength she needed to get through the difficult time, which she believes eventually taught her a lesson.
"It was my turn to really grow up," she commented.
The reality TV star does regret breaking up her happy family, despite going on to have more children with her now ex-husband Bruce Jenner.
"I got married when I was very, very young," she said.
"I met Robert when I was 18 years old. We dated for four years, got married at 22. Sooner or later during my life when I was in my 30s, I had an affair and my biggest regret was the fact that it broke up my family."
